I had a lot of fun recording this episode with Hans and Ryan.

I need to give some more thought to portable recording solutions though. A laptop just isn't good enough.

I like the scooter turn effect in this episode. Did you use Toonboom for it or a 3D package like Swift 3D?

Good eye Dodad, that was indeed created with Swift 3D. This was my first time using 3D in one of my Flash animations, and combining it with my 2D art was definitely a learning experience. Since creating this I've switched to a Mac, so I'd need to re-purchase Swift 3D to use it again. Someday I expect I will.

I like Sparky's butt. That little 'x' is the perfect detail for that big featureless expanse.

i like the cartoons, they're really cool and funny in a simplistic way. the only thing i want to know is: is Toon Boom like Synfig in the sense that you 'ween' or 'tween' or whatever it is, or do you upload an image/s and then animate them? thanks.

Calico Monkey discusses animation programs, cartoon software and the art of making your own cartoons. Occasionally I release a new cartoon that has inadvertently made somebody chuckle. Such an outburst is purely accidental, I assure you. All animations were created with Toon Boom.
